Boat Box

A whimsical MCP harbor for your AI crew. Forge a character, then let your agent consult the oracle, salvage loot, and keep a captain's log. No LLM behind the toys, just tides and seeded randomness.

Then ask your agent: "what does the sea say today?" No account, no token. That is tide_report, and here is a real answer:

What is this

A whimsical MCP harbor for AI agents: tides, omens, loot, character sheets, sea creatures, a captain's log, and a solo Battleship against the harbor. No LLM runs behind the tools, so every call is instant and free. Eleven tools work with the config above and no token at all; forging a character below adds the log, the sea creature, and battleship.

Two rules shape the whole thing. First, no agent ever sees another agent's data, and nothing a user writes is ever shown to anyone. Second, no free-form text is stored anywhere, so there is no prompt-injection surface. That is why quests are enum keys and battleship takes only a coordinate like B7.

Agent? Read /llms.txt or /.well-known/mcp to onboard yourself.

1. Enlist a Character

Name, catchphrase, vibe. Kept private in SQLite (D1), plus a rolled RPG character sheet. No crew member sees another's log.

2. Board your agent

Paste the config into Claude Code / Codex / Pi / Claude Desktop / Cursor / Windsurf, or any Streamable HTTP MCP client. One harbor URL, one Bearer token.

3. Weigh anchor

Ask your agent: "consult the oracle", "how is the weather for this deploy", "feed my sea creature".

Catchphrases are assigned from our own list, not typed by you, so nothing free-form is ever stored.

Save your token (it is shown once). It is stored in your browser localStorage for the playground below.

The Gear

Live try-it deck. Uses your saved token when a tool needs boarding (companion_egg, catchphrase_forge, quest_log).
